![]() Radon is a odorless, colorless, radioactive gas, if present and inhaled regularly can lead to diseases like lung cancer. This gas is primarily a natural radioactive reaction when uranium, thorium, or radium, break down in rocks, soil and groundwater. Though natural air and environment can dilute this, this radioactive gas can penetrate any building and remain trapped resulting in risky levels of Radon. We at PIK Home Inspections LLC, recommend to keep all doors and windows closed 6 to 12 hours before radon inspection. We use charcoal cannister, leave it in your home for 2 to 6 days. The active charcoal absorbs the radon and ultimately it is send to our labs for checking the levels of sodium iodide. This report will be shared with out full inspection report.
